Peter Kennaugh (Team Sky)
Peter Kennaugh (Team Sky)
British champion for the second year running, Kennaugh was not able to fly his national colours at the Tour de France last year after being overlooked by Team Sky.
This time out, however, is has earned redemption and after a stage win at the Criterium du Dauphine and his national title looks to be a man on top form.
The Manxman, 26, was hugely impressive on his Tour debut in 2013 and will be looking to set the pace on the lower slopes of the climbs for Chris Froome again this year.
Top-ten finishes at the Tour of California and Ruta del Sol have reiterated what he can do, and the British national colours should get plenty of airtime on the front of the bunch.

2015 highlights: Criterium du Dauphine (stage win), British National Road Race (winner)
Tour de France participations: one (2013)
Best overall finish: 77th (2013)

What to expect: Kennaugh earned plenty of plaudits for his performance as Froome won the Tour de France in 2013, and he returns this year older, stronger and more experienced. His role will be to help with the pace-setting over the medium mountains, where you can expect to see the blue, white and red-striped jersey given plenty of air time.
