Katusha and Alexander Kristoff continued their successful season on stage five of the 2013 Tour de Suisse. 

The Norwegian, winner already this season of three stages of the Tour of Norway and a stage of the Three Days of De Panne, brought additional cheer to his Russian employers by securing his fifth victory of the season on Russian independence day.

With stage three winner, Peter Sagan, and winner of stage four, Arnaud Demare, in close attendance, Kristoff showed sufficient speed to claim the victory.

Stage six will see the riders return to the rolling parcours for which the Tour de Suisse is famed and reawaken the men contending for overall victory.
