Strava unveils Queen of the Mountains segments for Women’s Tour

Climb details for high-profile women's race from ride-tracking service


Stage one: Oundle to Northampton (93.8km) – Wednesday May 7, 2014

The likes of world and Olympic road race champion, Marianne Vos (Rabobank-Liv), widely considered the world’s best rider, will begin their campaign for victory in the Women’s Tour on the slopes of Harrington Hill, a moderate climb that unfolds at an average gradient of our per cent. Charlotte Rothe tops the women’s leader board as of writing, having covered the 1.4km climb in a time of 3.48, with an average power output of 204 watts.

Spratton Climb will be the next opportunity for Queen of the Mountains contenders to score points: a 700m climb that rises inexorably from 163m to 203m at an average gradient of five per cent. Current QOM holder, Elizabeth M, completed the climb in 2.12 with an average power output of 240w.
