There’s still time to enter the Chariots of Fire sportive, which will be held in Cambridgeshire on Sunday (September 23).
All proceeds will go to the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA), and participants are invited to raise more money to support the charity with sponsorship.
Three different routes are offered, each starting at the Marshalls site on the border of the city of Cambridge.
Organisers say climbs are a feature of each of the 60km, 100km, and 100 mile routes, with 10 included on the longest course.
All three routes pass military bases, are sign-posted, and include feed stops. Mechanical back-up and a ‘broom wagon’ will be laid on. A sign-posted ‘family ride’ around the cycle routes of Cambridge is also offered.
Entry costs £29.50 and includes a certificate for finishers and a free post-ride snack. All proceeds go to SSAFA.
