Registration is now open for the UK’s largest two-day sportive, the 2015 Mitie London Revolution, which is due to take place in May next year.
This year’s route will cover 185 miles of London’s most iconic cycling routes, with 2,000 cyclists set to circumnavigate the capital.
Final adjustments to the route – which takes in 100 miles on day one and 85 miles on day two, with an overnight basecamp set up at Ascot racecourse – are being made, but last year’s event took in more than 2,000 metres of climbing over the two days.
Starting and finishing at the Lee Valley Velo Park, the route took in Hertfordshire and the Surrey Hills among London’s other scenic cycling spots.
Entry to the event, including the overnight stop, costs £184 while there are packages available for those wishing to sort their own accommodation or only ride one day.
The package includes training and kit guides and discount on kit pre-event, while during the sportive signed routes, pit stops, toilet stops chaperone riders, a broom wagon, mechanical support, medi bikes, a goody bag and event timing are provided.
Those staying overnight will also benefit from a hot meal, tented accommodation, hot showers, bars, live entertainment and overnight bike security.
