Severn Bridge Sportive – Sunday August 24
The Severn Bridge Sportive is back for 2014 this Bank Holiday weekend as part of the Castle Combe Family Cycling Day.
Riders have a choice of two routes – 100 miles and 100km – both starting and finishing at the Castle Combe Circuit, and taking in the Cotswold escarpment, the North of Bath and Bristol before crossing the Severn Bridge.
The courses will then split at Chepstow, with the 100km route returning to Castle Combe and the 100 mile ride continuing on to Wentwood, Usk, Raglan and tackling the steep climb of Star Hill before rejoining the short course for the return to HQ.
Both routes will be fully signed, with well-stocked feed stations and motorcycle outrider, along with mechanical support at the start/finish and on the road.
The Castle Combe Family Cycling Day will also include a fast lap challenge on the 1.85-mile circuit, British Cycling Go-Ride skills sessions for young riders and a vintage bike display.
Date: Sunday August 24
