Six sportives to ride before the end of summer

Make the most of what remains of summer

Wiggle Etape Cymru – Sunday September 14

The Wiggle Etape Cymru is one of a select number of closed-road sportives in the UK, with a challenging route of 85 traffic-free miles.

The event, which starts and finishes at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse, is among the toughest in the country, with no shortage of climbs on the route in north Wales.

Riders will tackle the 6.1km ascent of Horseshoe Pass, which touches 20 per cent, as part of a timed hill climb challenge sponsored by Festina – and the fastest rider to the top will win a Festina watch. Bring your best form and your climbing legs!

Note that riders must be able to register in advance on Saturday September 13 between 12pm and 7pm.

Date: Sunday September 14
