Speedplay have released a limited edition yellow version of their top-end Zero pedals to celebrate Cadel Evans’ Tour de France victory.
Evans finished second on the Tour’s penultimate stage, a 42.5km individual time trial, to leapfrog brothers Andy and Frank Schleck in the general classification and become the first rider from the southern hemisphere to win the race.
Leopard-Trek duo Andy and Frank finished second and third overall to ensure a Speedplay clean sweep of the podium in Paris.
The yellow Zero pedals are available in either stainless steel or titanium, with each pedal weighing 103g or 82g respetively, while the Zero cleats weigh in at 70g. Speedplay pedals are double-sided, making entry a breeze, while the Zero allows up to 15 degrees float.
The limited edition pedals cost the same as the regular Zero system, starting from £153.19 for the stainless version or £306.38 for titanium.
