The Tour O The Borders will return to the sportive calendar next April.
Two routes will be offered, both starting from Peebles, in the Scottish borders region, on Sunday April 14.
Riders can choose between routes of 49 miles or 70 miles, both pledged to take place on quiet roads and to include tough climbs and great views.
Co-organiser, John Anderson, said: “There are some exceptionally stiff climbs on the Tour. Another great advantage of this area is how quiet these roads are – you hardly see a car all day.”
Stage three of the Tour of Britain starts in nearby Jedburgh next week, but Anderson, and fellow organiser, Neil Dalgleish are promising a more accessible event.
Dalgleish said the area’s “deserted, scenic roads” were a perfect location for a sportive event.
Electronic timing is included and feed stations will be stocked with Forsyth’s hot macaroni pies, described by the organisers as ‘the local cyclists’ secret carbohydrate weapon’.
A discounted entry fee of £30 is offered until the end of September, after which it will cost £35.
