Lezyne is a manufacturer of high quality bike accessories, including lights, hand and floor pumps, tools and bottle cages. Founded in 2007 by former professional triathlete Micki Kozuschek, the company’s headquarters is in San Luis Obispo, California, and all products are assembled at the Lezyne factory in Taichung, Taiwan.
Innovative products like the the Carbon Road Drive 2 with lightweight full carbon technology, and multi tools using centre-pivot bit design have always been a feature of the Lezyne range. In 2011, Lezyne introduced another pioneering development – the ABS (air bleed system) bleeder valve, an in-line air pressure release valve which is now built into all the company’s flip-thread chucks and flex hoses. For the last two years, Lezyne has also been developing LED lights which are tested in Lezyne’s own integrating sphere, an instrument used to measure the lights’ lumen output.
Lezyne sponsors a number of top-level mountain bikers, trials riders and dirt jumpers including French legend Cedric Gracia, who work closely with Lezyne’s product development team to design new and innovative products. Other Lezyne ambassadors include Danny MacAskill, Remy Absalon, Yannick Granieri, Amber Pierce and Andrew Shandro.
The company also currently works with professional cycling teams such as the women’s Specialized-Lululemon team and the Riding Addiction/COMMENCAL downhill team. It also supplies accessories to the UCI ProTeam Lotto-Belisol, which features star names such as Tour de France stage winners Andre Greipel and Jurgen Van den Broeck, and Grand Tour talents Jurgen Roelandts and Jelle Vanendert.
