Stefano Pirazzi (Bardiani-CSF) knew, after so many failed attacks, that one would eventually stick and he made sure his critics were all aware of his victory on stage 17 in the Giro d’Italia.
The Italian, a regular attacker in his five years in the professional peloton, made it three wins at this year’s Giro d’Italia for the ProContinental team.
And given the chance to finally get his arms in the air, he fired an not so suble salute to those who have been critical of his riding style in the past.
