Mavic Helium Jacket

Not a winter garment, but one that has become a ‘go to’ for its low weight and portability, and, to some extent, its failings. Put simply, the Helium is a windproof jacket that isn’t all that breathable. In winter, however, this can be a benefit, when the low ambient temperature is enough to save you from boiling and allow you to enjoy the Helium’s excellent windproofing capabilities.

While every clothing brand has an item of clothing called Helium, in Mavic’s case, naming this jacket after the lightest element is a fair shout. At 90g, carrying it is unlikely to impair performance, and the ease with which it can be folded makes it a doddle to stuff in your pocket and carry with you.
