Alpina
Hailing from Germany, Alpina started life manufacturing eyewear and focusing on ski goggles, but branched out from there into protective equipment.
They have three models and a TT lid in the road range. The pinnacle of the road collection is the Elexxion RC (£119.99, pictured above). It’s a two-piece in mould design which allows for the vents to be made larger with a height adjustable dial retention system. Second in range is the Pheox (£94.99). It’s arguably better looking than its elder brother, but the retention system is only angle adjustable rather than up/down.

As an aside, Alpina also have a very interesting looking helmet called the E-Helm Deluxe (£84.99). It’s marketed as a lid for e-bikes, but if you remove the visor it looks a bit like an aero road helmet. Weighing in at a claimed 260g, there looks to be no reason why you couldn’t wear one of these on the road bike should the desire arise. The E-Helm Deluxe also has a smart integrated rear light, but can be removed to make another sizable vent.
