Scott have marked the launch of their 2015 road range with the announcement they have formed a partnership with the Red Bull Racing Formula One team.
Scott used the team’s Milton Keynes HQ to unveil the 2015 line-up. The collaboration will see Scott supply the team with Red Bull-liveried Foil and Speedster bikes to use in training.
Cycling has become an increasingly important part of the training regime of Formula One drivers and pit crew, and some of the bikes will be shipped to races around the world.
“The bespoke team bikes and training gear will be valuable tools in ensuring that our race team stay in the best possible condition at the track,” said Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner.
Scott have also used their expertise to develop a full-face helmet designed specifically to meet the needs of the Red Bull Racing pit crew, who will also use Scott goggles. The team, on the other hand, will share their knowledge of carbon fibre and aerodynamics with Scott in future ranges.
For 2015, however, the Scott road range is largely unchanged, save for colour and spec updates, after the line-up was revamped last year. There is one significant new addition, though – the Scott Solace Disc.
We’ll take a closer look at that, as well as key models from the super-light Addict, aero Foil and entry-level, carbon fibre CR1 ranges over the next four pages.
