Custom bike specialists Mosquito Bikes have teamed up with the Chalet d’Antoine in Megève, France to offer a long weekend of riding in the Alps over the Bank Holiday weekend of June 1-4.
The weekend will begin with Mosquito’s mechanics setting up your bike before a warm-up ride to the thermal spa town of St.Gervais les Bains. Day two will then focus on the Col de la Madeleine and Col du Glandon, part of this year’s Etape Act I and Tour de France routes, while riders will tackle the Col de Colombiere on day three. The final day offers the chance to fit in another of the region’s cols or to enjoy a well-earned rest.
All riding is fully supported and accommodation is on a half-board basis, with cyclist-specific three course eveing meals and post-ride snacks in the chalet. “This should give you the best opportunity to maximise your enjoyment on the bike,” said Mosquito Bikes owner Phil Burnett.
He added: “To make life easier we are offering the unique service of taking your bike and kit down to Megève by road allowing you to have a relaxed journey, simply drop your bike off a couple of days before departure and pick up again when you get back – what could be easier?”
The trip costs £550 and includes bike carriage, transfer from Geneva airport, three nights half-board accommodation, post-ride snacks and fully supported rides. Mosquito recommend flying with Easyjet from Gatwick to Geneva at 08:15 on June 1, returning at 17:00 on June 4.
