All week we’ve been running reasons to head to the London Cycle Show, but this latest development must be about the biggest. Sciencie in Sport have managed to persuade twice Tour de France winner Alberto Contador to take time out of his busy schedule and make an appearance at the London Cycle Show this weekend.
Appearing on the SiS stand on Friday 9 October, Contador will be the of sports nutrition company’s guest for the day. SiS provide professional cycling outfit Team Astana with the energy, hydration and recovery products which have helped fuel Contador to victories in cycling’s elite road races.
Contador, who currently tops the world rankings, said: “It is a great pleasure to be able to meet some of the many UK fans who support me and also to thank Science in Sport who are an integral part of my race preparation and performance.”
Pete Slater from SiS said: “We have enjoyed a long history of working with elite cyclists since 1992 and Alberto is currently the best stage racer in the world so to be able to bring him to the UK is a great coup for us and cycling in general.”
Alberto Contador will be meeting fans on the Science in Sport stand (E33) at the Cycle Show on Friday 9 October from 11.30am.
