The British Heart Foundation is urging people to get on their bikes in support of its Round the Harbours bike ride, which takes place on Sunday 7 June 2009.
Uniquely, this enjoyable bike ride offers a choice of four different start/finish locations: Fareham, Gosport, Southsea and Havant. The route describes a circle of 32 miles including a ferry crossing and passes through both Portsmouth and Langstone harbours.
At 32 miles in length, the ride is suitable for all the family and many participants find the day great fun with viewpoints and picnic and pub stops along the way. Why not ride with friends or enter a team of colleagues from work? Everyone is welcome.
Melanie Blackman, Regional Events Organiser for the British Heart Foundation, who is co-ordinating the event, says: “To ensure the British Heart Foundation can continue its lifesaving research we need people to get on their bikes and take part. Entries are now being taken, so please sign up to fund vital research.”
