Simon Yates (Orica-GreenEDGE)
Simon Yates won the white jersey at the Criterium du Dauphine and will start his second Tour de France full of confidence after his showing there.
The 22-year-old British twin of team-mate Adam will ride the Tour under no pressure to challenge overall according to team manager Matt White, but a few strong performances and he could still be right in contention.
At the end of the day, he was under no pressure to defend the white jersey at the Dauphine either, with the team keen for him to be in good shape come the Tour, and yet he still finished second on the final day.
While both he and Adam are both capable in the week-long stage races, both focus instead on stage wins on what will be their first Grand Tour together.
But both have shown great form since bursting onto the WorldTour scene, and while it would take a huge effort to win the white jersey this year, it is definitely one to think about in the future.
Nevertheless, with a string of WorldTour top tens under his belt already this season, Simon Yates is in impressive form on the eve of the Tour.
