All roads lead to Yorkshire: where to be during the Grand Départ weekend

The white rose county prepares for an invasion of cycling fans

Taking place on the Broughton Hall estate, Skipton, the Rapha Tempest is a four-day celebration of cycling featuring riding, music, food, films, workshops and, of course, a carnival atmosphere. Camping is available on site from Thursday July 3 and the weekend will include guided rides in both the daytime and the evening, the Rapha Cycle Club and a mini Rapha Super Cross – at the same location as the winter’s main event takes place.

Big screens will beam the action from the Tour de France, while music, an open air cinema, cycling workshops and talks and a stage will ensure the entertainment is not solely limited to the action from the peloton. Prices start at £85 for the weekend, with 24-hour secure bike parking provided. For more information visit www.raphatempest.cc
