The UK’s biggest cycling event returns to the NEC, Birmingham, in September and RCUK readers can bag specially-discounted tickets for the hugely-popular event.
Among the star attractions at the Cycle Show this year, from Friday September 27 to Sunday September 29, is the 80th Anniversary Edition of Campagnolo’s flagship Super Record groupset.
The strictly limited edition groupsets, each made with microsanded carbon components with an opaque finish, are expected to become collectors’ items as only 2013 will be made.
The Bora Ultra 35 wheelset, a claimed 1310g pair of full-carbon hoops, equipped with a hub rolling on a traditional cup and cone bearing system, will also be on show for visitors to view close-up.
Visitor’s to this year’s Cycle Show will also be able to get up close and personal with exhibitors including Continental, Specialized, Bianchi, Fondriest, Colnago and Cube among many others.
RoadCyclingUK will be hosting the ‘premium track’, offering show visitors a chance to test machines valued at £1,500 or more., while our sister title Ride UK will host a shop battle between staff at BMC stockists.
Last year’s show saw a host of Olympic and Paralympic gold-medal winners, including Sir Chris Hoy, Dame Sarah Storey, Lizzie Armitstead and Joana Rowsell, make appearances and host Q&A sessions.
With more star names expected this year, alongside sneak previews of all of 2014’s hottest bikes and hundreds of bike and accessory brands showcasing their products it promises to be another great show.
You can also give it some air and practice your best tricks on the new Airbag, visit the electric bike village and get the kids involved on the kids test tracks.
