The multi-day NSPCC Tour of England sportive series has a third event for 2015, which will take place in the Cotswolds in July.
Following the success of the two-day Tour of Yorkshire and Tour of the South East, the NSPCC Tour of the Cotswolds has been added to the calendar for this year – with entries to all three now open.
As with the other two events – the return of both having been announced before Christmas – the Tour of the Cotswolds will follow the same formula of professional-style riding with team cars, soigneurs, domestiques and motorcycle outriders.
Fundraising entry starts from just £29 for the event, which will also feature a timed ascent of National Hill Climb favourite Dover’s Hill and a flat time trial section during the weekend.
Scheduled to take place on Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 5, the event is also available self-funded from just £129 – with entry including a free Tour of England jersey.
Richard King, directory of organisers Ride2Raise, said: “I would encourage anyone who enjoys good company and a challenge to sign up to one of our NSPCC Tour of England events.
“To experience the level of support and professionalism at a sportive you would normally need to travel to Europe but now you can enjoy this type of riding here in the UK.
“With the addition of the NSPCC Tour of the Cotswolds, we can bring our events to more riders around the country, and also take in some more of the best riding roads on offer.
“We chose the Cotswolds as it fits the model of our events perfectly – challenging yet stunning routes which are cycling-friendly, to ensure a great experience is had by all.”
The events’ partnership with 9bar will be expanded in 2015 too, with the nutrition supplier named as Official Energy Bar partner.
Also new for 2015 will be the first NSPCC Tour of England Training Camp, which will be run by Just Pedal and take place in Mallorca in March.
