March 8 – 65 Roses Spring Classic Sportive, Yorkshire
Organisers claim the 65 Roses Spring Classic is comparable to a typical Belgian Classic on the 109km route.
Rolling out of Cudworth, Barnsley, the route takes in the lanes of South and West Yorkshire with an abundance of rough roads making up for the absence of any big climbs.
Billed as a test of a rider’s toughness, it is an ideal way to end a hard winter of training and kick off your season proper.
And to add to the Classics feel, the course will be split into secteurs, a la Paris-Roubaix, with each one set up on Strava so users can measure their performance post-ride.
Included within the £25 entry price, which helps to support a Cystic Fibrosis charity, is a complimentary breakfast courtesy of the Lakeside café at Askern
