What’s on your Christmas list?
We’ve been looking at some ideal gifts for the cyclist in your life this week, starting with the ten top cycling books and five much more luxurious items for those for whom money is no object – a fantasy list for the rest of us.
For some cyclists, the greatest gift this Christmas might just be relief from back pain, and we can help with that, too, courtesy of coaching columnist, Jo McRae.
And for those looking for some suitable winter clothing as they bid to stay in the saddle over the festive period, we have had plenty pass through the gates of RCUK Towers for review.
LOOK’s WinterFall gloves, leg and arm warmers from Café du Cycliste, the Mooving jersey from RH+, Sportful’s thermal bib tights and a base layer from dhb’s Merino range have all been tested this week.
Once clothed, you can turn your attention to other essential items for winter. We’ve drawn up a handy list. How many of these do you have?
Many riders will be hoping for a new bike this Christmas, and we’re no different, so excitement in the office has been ramped up with our winter bike build progressing.
For the professional, of course, a bike is a tool of the trade, but that doesn’t mean Britain’s finest won’t be hoping for a special something. Chris Froome could secure an early Christmas present if he were to be voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
We certainly think he should be, so make sure you get voting on Sunday night!
All of this and more was on RCUK this week, if you missed any catch up on the best of the last seven days on the following pages.
