Adam Yates’ Scott Foil
Adam Yates’ Scott Foil
Bury-born Adam Yates made an almost seamless switch to Orica-GreenEDGE with his neo pro season marked by some stunning results.
Overall success at the Tour of Turkey, coupled with top-ten finishes at the Tour of California and Criterium du Dauphine earned him a Grand Tour debut at the Vuelta a Espana.
We first spotted Yates’ Scott Foil in Spain some six months earlier, at Challenge Mallorca however.
The team issue machine uses partial airfoil shapes on the tubing – hence the name – to produce a bike with a clear focus on aerodynamics.
The truncated airfoil tubes, which lend technology from the aeronautics industry, is paired with an integrated seatpost clamp to further boost the aero profile.
Orica-GreenEDGE are one of ten WorldTour teams sponsored by Shimano, which means PRO handlebar and stem, Dura-Ace C50 hoops and Dura-Ace Di2 shifting.
Finished with a saddle and handlebar tape from Prologo, if Yates’ continues his upwards trajectory expect to see plenty more of this machine.
