Online retail giant, Wiggle, has carved out a sizable niche clothing new cyclists with garments from its house brand, dhb.
We headed to the company’s London HQ to check out new offerings for 2014, both in the spring-summer and autumn-winter collections.
While dhb has expanded its offerings in both directions – including more affordable, entry-level garments, and pieces developed with feedback from the Wiggle Honda team – they have attempted to simplify a sometimes overwhelming portfolio.
The new collections have been divided into three tiers – Active, Performance, and Professional – with the latter, unsurprisingly, being those designed with input from Trott, Rowsell, King et al. The garments will be labeled and logo-ed accordingly.
Over the following pages, we’ll take a detailed look at five key pieces, including a windproof base layer, a ‘pro level’ bib-short and jersey, unmissable garments inspired by jockey silks, a mesh base layer, and a bib-short and jersey from a new luxury tier that dhb have called ‘Goldline’.
