Already serving as bike sponsors, Giant stepped in as headline sponsors of the team formerly known as Argos-Shimano after the oil giants withdrew their own title sponsorship. And with the new sponsorship, the team, which hopes to deliver Marcel Kittel to a yellow jersey in Harrogate at the Tour de France Grand Départ in July, have stepped out in new kits.
Could it be a lucky omen for the German sprinter? Well, he won his first race – the People’s Choice Classic – in the new black and white attire, which replaces their previous all-white kit.
