UCI WorldTour 2014: six of the best kits for the new season

Pro cycling's elite showcase their new team colours down under

The peloton is packed with new kits, but why change a winning formula? Team Sky wore Rapha’s stylish garments last year, and have opted to stick with the London-based brand for 2014. Their black kit, with blue stripe, remains untouched and ensures the instantly recognisable British team will remain an unmissable sight in WorldTour races.

With Richie Porte targetting Giro d’Italia glory and Chris Froome chasing a second consecutive Tour de France win, the jerseys could well be replaced by pink and yellow equivalents on their team leaders however. There will be one small change to Team Sky’s kit this year too – check out their mesh skinsuits for a whole new level of marginal gains.

The blue stripe on the centre of the back, a feature included from the first kit worn in the team’s debut season in 2010, remains: a visual manifestation of the separation between failure and success.
