UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships: the contenders

A look at those in with a shout of winning the rainbow jersey in Hoogerheide

The ‘cross elite will descend on Hoogerheide, Netherlands, this weekend with the rainbow jerseys up for grabs at the UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships.

Legendary Belgian Sven Nys currently holds the elite men’s jersey, while Dutch wonder woman Marianne Vos will be desperate to retain her title as elite women’s champion.

After an enthralling season so far, with the World Cup having just ended and the Bpost Bank Trofee and Superprestige series both heading for exciting conclusions, both will face a real battle for their jersey.
