Seven day round-up: Shimano 105 groupset, Tour of Britain route & more

These go to eleven: the 5800-series iteration of Shimano 105 has an extra sprocket, bringing it in line with the 11-speed drivetrains offered by Dura-Ace and Ultegra.

Shimano unveiled the 11-speed iteration of the popular 105 groupset this week, which also included their first mechanical shifter for hydraulic disc brakes.

But we were lucky enough to be treated to a sneak peek at the components in February, photographing them at the Milton Keynes HQ of Shimano’s UK distributor, Madison.
