On to helmets, and the Aspect is a new addition to Giro’s lid line-up. It’s essentially been designed as a road helmet, with the fit, protection and ventilation you’d expect, but with a more subtle look that that of a race helmet.
While there are just six external vents, Giro say the use of the ‘Roc Loc Air’ system, which suspends the helmet above the head to allow air to flow through the internal channels, ensures ventilation is maintained.
The Aspect also has a removable visor, useful for riders who wants keep the sun out of their eyes or rain from running onto their face, but without having to compromise fit by wearing a full cloth cap. It’s a similar design to what we saw on Bontrager’s new, racier Velocis helmet.
