The Air Attack is Giro’s take on the aero road helmet – a slowly emerging trend more pertinent to racers in the pursuit of margin gains in bunch sprints – and was launched last year but is worth a second look here.
The Air Attack (pictured above right next to the range-topping Aeon road lid) is available in two versions, with a visor for £179.99 and without for £149.99. New colours are available for 2014, with six options for the Air Attack Shield and five for the regular Air Attack.
The Air Attack uses the same Roc Loc Air ventilation system as the Aspect, and, as a result, Giro say it offers 90 per cent of the ventilation of the super-light Aeon helmet but with a 12 per cent aerodynamic advantage.
